11.20 Announcements

Good morning Bobcats. Today is Friday, November 20, 2020.

 

Any students interested in competing in track and field this year, there will be an informative meeting on at 2:30 in the TEL lab. If you are interested and not able to attend, please see Coach Phu or Coach Reed.

 

Congratulations to the girls soccer teams for their victories on Wednesday against Riverview. JV won 3-0 powered by Brenda Smith’s hat trick. Varsity delivered an outstanding 8-3 victory with Sierra Spirk scoring 5 times, Aleena Purvis twice and Emily Idoyaga once. Big shout out to Aleena Purvis who became the all-time boys and girls scoring leader with 55 goals. Please come out tonight to support the girls as they take on Braden River at home, JV 5:30 pm and Varsity at 7:00pm.

 

Congratulations to Zach Rathburn who has been selected to the FACA (Florida Athletic Coaches Association) All-Star Team. Zach will race the FACA cross country all-star classic this Saturday in Lakeland. Zach will represent the West Team as he competes against the best runners in the state of Florida.

 

Congratulations CJ Kemble for selection to the North Port Sun 1st Team All Area. His 38.0 scoring average for the season sent him to regionals and a 15th place finish. Great job CJ!

 

Food and Nutrition Services has meals available for students 18 and younger for Thanksgiving Break. Pick-up is Tuesday, November 24 from 4-6pm. Advance sign-up is required. Use the link on the Bobcat News homepage to sign up.

 

Do you have a cool or unique after-school job? Are you in a great program at STC? The Legend Yearbook staff is looking for hard workers with interesting work stories to interview for the yearbook.
