The Sarasota County School Board usually meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month. The meetings include food and nutrition, COVID-19, safety concerns, hearing of citizens, and anything else that is school-related. The members of the Sarasota County School Board currently include Dr. Brennan Asplen; the Superintendent, Lady Chairman; Caroline Zucker, Vice Chairman; Shirley Brown, Jane Goodwin; board member, Eric Robinson; board member, Bridget Zeigler; board member, Karen Rose (Seat 2) and Tom Edwards (Seat 3) replace Caroline Zucker (retiring) and Eric Robinson (lost election).
