May 1st was National College Decision Day. To recognize this, we will be holding Senior Academic Signing day TODAY after school in the Cafeteria. For those seniors that have already been invited please RSVP through the Microsoft Form sent by Mr. Thomas. If you have been accepted to and plan on attending a 4-year University, and have not received an invitation, please contact Mr. Thomas.

TODAY IS THE LAST DAY. Seniors if you have not voted for your spring King and Queen, please make sure to vote on blackboard by the end of today.

 

If you are interested in becoming a class officer or general member of SGA for next year the applications are now up on blackboard under your class blackboard page. Applications are due to Mrs. Hamer by May 13th. If you have any questions you can go to Mrs. Hamer in room 7115.

 

If you see any of these track and field athletes, wish them luck as they prepare to travel to Jacksonville for state competition this weekend:

Seniors! Here is everything you need to know from now until Graduation!

 

All fines and fees owed to the school must be paid before you can receive tickets for graduation, pick up your cap & gown, or pick up your diploma. This includes school-owned laptops and textbooks which must be returned.

 

Thursday May 20 from 2:30-4:15pm will be Cap & Gown pickup for both in-person and remote seniors. You will be able to pick up your cap & gown orders, yearbooks, senior panoramic photos, and other senior items. Pickup will be in the Gym Lobby until 4:15pm. This event is for both remote and brick-and-mortar students. Fees and fines must be paid before you can pick up your cap & gown. If you still need to order a Cap & Gown, please see Mrs. Thomas ASAP in 4-113. If you still need to order a yearbook, you can do that at www.yearbookforever.com.

 

Friday, May 21 is the last day to complete the graduation transcript form for the guidance department. This form needs to be completed no matter your next college, career, or training steps. You can access the form using the QR code on the screen or get the link from your English Teacher. If you have completed this form in your English class, you do not need to complete it twice.

 

Senior Exams are from May 24 to May 28. Seniors will NOT have an altered bell schedule for exams. Please plan to attend all classes during this time period. Tuesday, June 1 is a makeup day only for seniors. You will come to school on June 1 only if you have a makeup exam to complete.

 

Thursday May 27 at 7:00pm is Senior Awards Night. This event is by invitation only for seniors receiving awards, scholarships, cords, stoles, etc. Please check with Mr. Thomas in Guidance or your club/group advisor if you think you should be attending.

 

Wednesday June 2 is Graduation Practice here at NPHS.

Please be prepared to attend at 8:00 AM for all seniors with last names L-Z and at 10:00 AM for all seniors with last names A-K, AICE Diploma Candidates, speakers and performers

You do not need to bring your cap & gown to practice. Students will receive their 4 allotted graduation tickets at the end of graduation practice. Participation in graduation practice is required if you are walking in graduation on June 3. Please let Mrs. Fusco know ASAP if you do not plan to attend the graduation ceremony.

 

Thursday June 3 is Graduation. Class of 2021 students must park in the PAC parking lot and then report to the outdoor basketball field (next to Building 5) at 6:30pm for instructions. The ceremony starts at 7:30pm at the football field.
