Seniors, this is the last week to complete the district required final transcript survey. Completion of this form is required by the district in order to graduate. We are currently only at 274 completed surveys. The link to complete the form can be found through your senior English teacher or by contacting Mr. Thomas is Guidance. Stay tuned for more Senior information after the announcements.

 

Free swim clinics will be taking place Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays this week and next at the North Port Aquatic Center from 3:30 to 5 pm. Experienced and beginner swimmers are welcome.

 

The Arcadia Walmart distribution center is having a job fair on Saturday 5/22 and Sunday 5/23 from 11am-3pm, with starting pay up to $21.10 per hour.

 

In addition, the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office and North Port Chamber of Commerce have numerous job listings available. See Naviance or Mrs. Thiel for help with job applications!

 

“Voices in the Night” a choir concert, is this Thursday. Come see our students sing everything from classical, jazz, to current popular music!

Pre-show will begin at 6:30pm in the courtyard. The main stage show will begin at 7pm in the PAC.

The performance will be on May 20, 2021 and Tickets are $5.

 

Yearbook Pickup Information for Underclassmen, both Remote and On-Campus:

2021 Yearbook pickup for underclassmen begins Friday May 21. For on-campus students, will be in the Guidance Conference room behind the SSC during lunches on May 21, 24, and 25. For remote students, we will be at the PAC Parking lot on May 25 from 4-5 p.m. The 2021 book may be purchased online at www.yearbookforever.com. If you missed out on last year’s yearbook, the 2020 book may be purchased for $40 cash or check (made out to NPHS) when you pick up your 2021 book.

Books ordered for remote students may be picked up in the front office during school hours starting June 3.

Cap & Gown packages may be ordered online at www.jostens.com through the end of the day on May 19, or see Mrs. Thomas in room 4-113 with $82 cash or check.

 

2021 Yearbooks may be picked up by seniors on Thursday May 20 from 2:30-4:15pm at the Gym Lobby. This is also where you can pick up your Cap & Gown and other Graduation items. Seniors may pre-purchase yearbooks online at www.yearbookforever.com through midnight on May 19. If you did not get a 2020 book due to quarantine last year, you can bring $40 cash or check (made out to NPHS) to pick up on May 20 and get our 2020 book at a deep discount! All yearbooks are $90 each if purchased separately.

 

All fines and fees owed to the school must be paid before seniors can receive tickets for graduation, pick up your cap & gown, or pick up your diploma. This includes school-owned laptops and textbooks which must be returned. Resolve any outstanding fees and fines before the Cap & Gown pickup event on Thursday, May 20.

 

On Thursday May 20 from 2:30-4:15pm will be Cap & Gown pickup for both in-person and remote seniors. You will be able to pick up your cap & gown orders, yearbooks, and senior panoramic photos. Pickup will be in the Gym Lobby until 4:15pm. This event is for both remote and brick-and-mortar students.

 

Friday, May 21 is the last day to complete the graduation transcript form for the guidance department. You can access the form using the QR code on the screen or get the link from your English Teacher. This form needs to be completed no matter your next college, career, or training steps.

 

Senior Exams, including English and Econ/Gov LEOC Exams, will begin on May 24. Seniors will NOT have an altered bell schedule for exams. Please plan to attend all classes during this week. Tuesday, June 1 is a makeup day for seniors. Seniors will come to school on June 1 only if you have a makeup exam to complete.

 

Thursday May 27 at 7:00pm is Senior Awards Night, which is by invitation only. Please check with Mr. Thomas in Guidance or your club/group advisor if you think you should be attending.

 

Wednesday June 2 is Graduation Practice here at NPHS.

Seniors with last names L through Z, your practice is at 8 a.m. Seniors with last names A through K as well as AICE Diploma Candidates, speakers and performers, your practice is at 10 a.m.

You do not need to bring your cap & gown to practice. Students will receive their 4 graduation tickets at the end of graduation practice. June 2 practice is required if you are walking in graduation on June 3. Please let Mrs. Fusco know ASAP if you do not plan to attend the graduation ceremony.

 

Thursday June 3 is Graduation. Class of 2021 students must park in the PAC parking lot and then report to the outdoor basketball court (next to Building 5) at 6:30pm for instructions. The ceremony starts at 7:30pm at the football field.
