15 August Announcements

Key Club will have its first meeting of the year on Tuesday August 16, 2022 At 2:30 PM In Room 5-105 

 

You will receive your Student ID card today! Wear it proudly. Make a plan so that you are ready to wear it each day at school. 

 

Attention baseball players.  Fall baseball tryouts are Monday Aug 15th. 

Juniors and seniors will begin at 3 p.m. sharp. 

All other players will begin at 5:30.

Any girls interested in joining the Girls Weightlifting Team there will be an informational meeting Thursday August 18th in the Tel Lab after school.   

 

Senior Bundles go on sale on Monday, August 15. There are two bundle options this year: the Silver bundle is $60 and it includes senior t-shirt, hoodie, and panoramic photo. These items cannot be purchased anywhere else! The Navy bundle is $360 and includes the exclusive t-shirt, hoodie, and photo. Plus, a yearbook, homecoming ticket, prom ticket, and grad bash ticket. Attendance and eligibility requirements apply for school events.  Silver bundle is $60 and Navy Bundle is $360 on August 15

The North Port High School Swim Team is still looking for swimmers. Prior competitive swimming experience is not a requirement and swimming provides excellent conditioning for all sports. Athletes will have the opportunity to earn their varsity letter in their first year of participation. For more information please see Mr. Magliacane in room 8-101.

Seniors, Cady Studios returns to campus on August 24 for senior portraits. Sign up for an appointment now at www.cady.com/book. 

 

ALL Students MUST have a parking permit to park on campus and that security will begin ticketing vehicle that do not have a parking permit visible in their vehicle, beginning August 22. 

Parking passes can be purchased in the cafeteria during all lunches until August 19. 

To purchase a parking permit students must bring: 

The parking form (which can be downloaded from the school website) 

A photocopy of the student driver’s license 

A photocopy of the vehicle registration 

and $35 

Must bring parking form, photocopy of student drivers’ license, photocopy of vehicle registration, and $35. 

 

Seniors: It is time to start thinking about your college applications. Common App is now open! You may begin by creating your account and adding colleges to your account. If you need assistance, please stop by the Student Success Center to meet with Mrs. Halbert and Mr. Coulson. 

Upcoming SAT/ACT Test Dates: 

Sat will take place on october 1st and the deadline to register is by sept. 2nd  the other sat date is november 5 and the deadline is to register by oct. 7th 

Act takes place on sept.10th and register by sept.16 and December 10th register by nov. 4th. 

 

  • SAT (October 1 (deadline to register Sept. 2, November 5 deadline to register Oct.7) 
  • ACT (Sept. 10, October 22 register by Sept. 16, December 10 register by Nov. 4) 

Do you need to register for Community service hours?  Did you know that you may also count paid work hours towards the Bright Futures Scholarship?  We ask that you aim for 100 hours. Please register with Mrs. Halbert and Mr. Coulson in the Student Success Center. 

 

Schedule change requests may be submitted through end of day on Tuesday, August 16. Ask any teacher for the QR code to request a schedule change.
