24 August Announcements

Do you want a unique lanyard for your ID card to show your true Bobcat Pride? The Enterprise Work Study Students will be selling rustic beaded lanyards for $10 and Bobcat Pearl lanyards for $15. Check them out! If interested, email Mrs. Carlstrom to coordinate purchase. [email protected]

Attention, NoPo Nation! To save money, join NoPo Nation and access all home athletic events. The cost is $40. Instead of spending $8 each for 5 home football games, spend the same $40 and access every team, all year. You will get one of these great t-shirts plus a custom sticker for your ID card to show at the gate. Purchase your NoPo Nation pass during lunches. See Athletic Director Mr. Miller, or Mrs. Hamer in 7-115 with questions.

“National Art Honor Society is now accepting applications for new members. Any 10th through 12th grader interested in art is welcome to join. Applications are in Ms. DuBois’ room, 2-118, and are due Friday, August 26th by 2:30 pm to her.”

Come check out what Speech and Debate is all about! Learn the events that you can prepare and practice for and why colleges love to see this skill and involvement on your application! We will be attending tournaments around the area. Meet in 8-114 at 2:30 on August 24th. Kpop Club will be on Thursdays from 2:30-4pm with Miss Katt and they can get a permission slip form and information packet from Coach Mayer in Room 5-101. The Coexistence club and film club will have their first meetings next Wednesday, 24 August, after school from 2:30-3:30 in room 8-204.

Coexistence club has many activities lined up for the next year. Our main focus this year will be using our diverse community of learners to work with the City of Northport and the North Port Arts Council on various local art projects, beach and park clean-ups and other community activities. Coexistence club members also docent in the spring at Bayfront Park in Sarasota and this year we will be adding Butler Park, here in Northport. You will also have opportunities to accumulate volunteer hours while working with the club. See Mr. Mannino for any details.

There will be a girls basketball meeting on Thursday 8/25 in 5-212 after school for any girls interested in playing basketball this year

Any 9th grade students or transfer students that have a FLVS account, please go into your account settings and make sure you have changed your school to be North Port High. You have to change your school manually, it does not switch automatically.  The counselors can not see your classes if your account has another school listed.
