Breaking news! Homecoming details are here. The Homecoming dance will be on Saturday, October 29 from 7 to 10 pm here at NPHS in the Cage. Tickets will be $30. We’ll have all the details about tickets soon. Remember, attendance and behavior expectations must be met to be allowed to attend homecoming.
Can’t wait to throw it back at this Friday’s football game. Wear your best retro fit and come out to support the Bobcat football team as they play Ida Baker.
There will be a manufacture’s tour on Oct 7th. Students will be touring PGT and Weber MFG. Seating is limited so sign up ASAP with Mrs. Halbert and Mr. Coulson in the student success center.
Season passes are still available to purchase. Stop by the athletic department before and after school and see Coach Miller. Student passes are $40 and adult $60. If you purchased a pass and still need your sticker on your ID please bring your temporary pass to athletics along with your ID.
ASVAB testing will take place on 4 October at 0800 in the PAC. Please see Mr. Coulson in the Student Success Center for sign ups.
Suncoast Blood bank will be hosting our first blood drive here at NPHS on Monday, September 26th. Signups will be Thursday September 22 and Friday September 23 in the cafeteria during all lunches. You must be 17 or older to donate blood on campus and you must have the forms filled out and signed prior to donating. The blood you donate at North Port Highschool goes directly to the hospitals in our county. Just donating 1 pint of blood can save up to 3 lives. Donating three times during your senior year can also make you eligible for a scholarship through Suncoast Scholarship Program.
We need your vote on some very important rivalries, such as: Kanye or Taylor?, and many more. Vote on our website at nphsbobcats.net. There are 15 unique polls so refresh the page to get new options. Ask your teacher to vote as a class, or you can vote from your own device.
Need help in math class? Studying for an upcoming test or the FSA retake? Math Lab is now open in the media center after school for students needing help in algebra 1, 2, and geometry. Math lab will be every Monday and Thursday after school at 2:30 until 3:30. Ask your math teacher for details and we will see you there.

French club will hold its first meeting THIS THURSDAY September 22nd from 2:15 – 3:30 pm in Madame M’Bark’s room, 8-217. Venez tous!
The Coexistence Club is preparing for our Unity-Day Training in October. If you were given a form for Unity-Day Training on 8 October at STC in Sarasota, please make sure you bring those forms back by Friday. Those forms may be returned to Mr. Mannino directly or placed in his box in the office.

Amendment V
No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.
Amendment VI
In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defense.
