Attention unity-day leaders: remember that this Saturday, 29 October is training at STC. This was originally scheduled for 8 October but was rescheduled. Please arrive at NPHS by 8:15 AM. We will be departing campus at 8:30. Mr. Mannino also needs confirmation from parents through email that they are aware of the new date. Make sure you have an updated permission form, or your parent has replied to the email sent out last week. Thank you!

Anyone wishing to participate in an event next Sunday to prop the trees back up around town that are saveable but damaged from Ian, this coming Sunday, 30 October, please see Mr. Mannino in 8-204 this week. We will be working with People for Trees to rehabilitate those that can still be saved which is a great way to earn some of those needed volunteer hours while positively impacting our local community and helping restore some sense of normalcy.  See Mr. Mannino for information on how you can help.

I am Messiah Pacheco, President of the NPHS DFY (Drug Free Youth) CATCH Club, and we are doing a fundraiser to fund the program which includes materials for the Poinsettia Parade Christmas Float, candy for Trunk or Treat, and many more events.  Our fundraiser is called Toilet Mover, and we will be moving a toilet into classrooms and students can give money to have it removed.

It will be:

  • $8 for removal from office or classroom sent back to DFY (5-216),
  • $16 for removal + sending to a specific staff member of choice
  • $20 for removal + sending to a specific staff member + Staff member goes on an EXEMPT list and never receive it again this year.

Hey bobcats, on November 6th at the Morgan Center, DFY is testing in order to obtain membership with the program. This program has many benefits, and if you are in the club and have a membership, you can obtain a graduation cord! The only date in the year after that is December 1st, and if you’re a Senior you must test on one of those two dates to get your cord! We hope to see you there.
