Aden Lillevold: The Thespian Life

Chloe Halbert

CHLOE: What’s your name and what grade are you in?

ADEN: I’m Aden Lillevold and I’m a senior.

CHLOE: What is your role in the thespian troupe?

ADEN: I’m the president.

CHLOE: What’s it like being the president?

ADEN: It’s fun because I get to have a big role in what happens and how the theatre develops. It’s fun to be a part of that.

CHLOE: What’s your favorite thing about being in the troupe?

ADEN: I like it because it’s a big community of people who all have the same interests, so we all get along pretty nicely.

CHLOE: When did you get interested in doing theatre and why?

ADEN: I got interested in doing theatre in 6th grade. I would watch videos of blooper reels and stuff like that of TV shows and it always looked like it’d be a lot of fun to do that.

CHLOE: Do you prefer plays or musicals? Why?

ADEN: I prefer plays because I think I’m a better… wait no I’m gonna change that answer actually. I like musicals because I feel like there’s more work involved in those. I also like plays because I think I’m a better actor than I am singer or dancer and plays focus more on acting.

CHLOE: What’s your favorite genre of theatre to perform?

ADEN: I really like comedies because I think I have pretty solid comedic timing.

CHLOE: So, you’re pretty funny?

ADEN: I think. I don’t know how to say that without having an ego! I think I can do pretty good on stage.

CHLOE: Who’s your favorite theatre icon?

ADEN: Hugh Jackman.

CHLOE: Why?

ADEN: He’s very kind and humble and he’s very talented and I just like him, he’s cool?

CHLOE: How many shows have you performed? What were they and which one was your favorite?

ADEN: I’ve done maybe 15ish, and my favorite has probably been Guys and Dolls which was in my sophomore year. It’s about… I don’t know how to explain it, I’m sorry! This is probably going to be really hard to get a quote.

CHLOE: No, it’s okay!

ADEN: It’s about like a struggling gambler who has to try and save his marriage.

CHLOE: That’s it, thank you!

ADEN: Thank you!
