10 January Announcements

SPORTS NEWS 

Football players, Coach Belser reminds you that the deadline to join the spring team is Tuesday, January 17. If you are interested in playing football this spring, please stop by the weight room after school to get all of the information you need from any coach. 

 

BOYS WEIGHTLIFTING!  Anyone interested in boys weightlifting, there will be a short meeting after school Thursday  January 12th in Building 5- Room 216.  Please scan the QR code located in athletics,  or room 5-216.  We are looking for anyone who is interested,  no experience is needed, and it will not interfere with other sports.  All sizes and weight classes needed.   

See coach Ryan if you cannot make the meeting. 

 

There will be a quick meeting after school on Thursday 1/12 in the Guidance Conference Room (1-131) for any girls interested in playing Beach Volleyball this spring 

 

Please congratulate CJ Kemble on being selected for First Team All-Area Golfer by the Sarasota Herald Tribune, this is quite the accomplishment as they only take 12 spots for Sarasota, Charlotte, and Manatee Counties. He was also selected as a finalist for Golfer of the Year by the North Port Sun which will be decided later in the Spring and was the MVP of the Boys Varsity Golf Team this year. 

 

CLUB NEWS 

Speech and debate will meet Thursday, Jan. 12th in room 8-114 after school to continue to prepare for the meet at the end of January. 

 

Mu Alpha Theta Math Club will meet this Wednesday at 2:30 in Room 4-209. 

 

The National Art Honor Society is accepting new members for the spring semester. All grades can now apply! Pick up an application from Ms. DuBois in room 2-118 and turn in completed applications by Wed., January 18th. 

 

ACADEMICS NEWS 

Attention Class of 2024! Class t-shirts and sweatshirts are available for purchase.  

The online store is posted in the BlackBoard class or check out the flyer and QR code in your English class. 

Orders are due by next Friday, January 20th. This is a hard deadline—if you snooze, you lose! The apparel will be delivered at school.
