20 January Announcements

      Bobcats! Literacy Week is on January 23rd to the 27th  

  • Monday! Come to school dressed as any character from your favorite Mystery book! 
  • Dress to impress as your favorite character from a graphic novel on Tuesday! 
  • Wednesday will be the day for your Sci-Fi & Fantasy outfit. 
  • If you ever wanted to wear a powdered wig to school, Thursday will be the day! For its Historical Fiction Day.
  • And finally for the Theater kids it’s your time to shine come to school as characters from any Play or Musical on Friday! 

Please remember bobcats these outfits need to stay in dress code, meaning no bandanas, masks, face paint among other things.

 

     Attention all current 10th graders: it has come that time of year for Suncoast Technical School.  On Tuesday 1/17 and Friday 1/20 – 10th graders in World History classes will be viewing a presentation in the Tel lab about STC to apply for the 23-24 year.  The application window will open on 1/20.  All applications will need to be returned to Ms. McDougall in Guidance (room 1-128).   Eligible Juniors are allowed to apply as well* 

 

     Buy a yearbook, save money, get HERO points! Help out your NPHS Yearbook staff to reach their January sales goal and pre-order your yearbook today. This is the only way to guarantee you get a copy of our book! Preordered books cost $90, but use the coupon code HERO and save $5. Or, buy in person in 4-110 with cash or check and save $5. Show your sales receipt to Ms. Lord at 4-110 and get 5 HERO points, too! 

 

    Attention Class of 2024! Class t-shirts and sweatshirts are available for purchase. The online store is posted in the BlackBoard class or check out the flyer and QR code in your English class. Orders are due by next Friday, January 20th. This is a hard deadline—if you snooze, you lose! The apparel will be delivered to school. 

 

SPORTS NEWS 

  • Baseball tryouts will be Monday January 23 at 3 p.m. at the baseball field. Players will be required to bring their own gear (gloves, cleats, pants, etc..) Please have all paperwork completed before trying out. Any questions please see Coach O’Sullivan in 4-108.
  • Attention softball players: Tryouts will take place on Monday 1/23 and Tuesday 1/24 after school from 3:00-5:00 pm. You must have all your paperwork completed and be cleared in order to tryout. See Coach Lowy if you have any questions.

     Senior Hoodies available for purchase in 4-113.  Limited quantity! $25 each!  Get yours today! 

     Seniors! Don’t miss these important senior year deadlines:  

  1. Grad Bash forms for student who purchased a silver bundle are due by FRIDAY, 1/27.  Turn in forms to Mrs. Thomas 4-113, or Ms. Sims/Mr. Thomas in guidance. No forms, no attendance, even if you paid for it.
  2. Order your cap and gown ASAP – price increase is soon… 
  3. Already have a cap and gown?  Order a tassel, medallion and diploma cover – forms in 4-113 (this cannot be done online)
  4. Grad Bash forms/payment if you did not purchase a ticket through the bundle – deadline is January 27.  Buy your ticket before or after school in 4-113.
