9 10 Announcements
September 9, 2020
Good morning Bobcats. Today is Thursday, September 10, 2020.
• SPORTS NEWS: Congratulations to the girls golf team for beating Cardinal Mooney on Tuesday. If you’d like to join the team, see Coach Kemble in 5-209.
• Any students looking for volunteer hours, the Cross Country team will need help with their meet this Saturday from 7-11:30. Anyone interested in helping, please see Coach Phu in 7-106.
• SAFETY FIRST: ALL our students are expected to wear their ID visibly every day. We’ve taken the week to get them to all students and go over this expectation. Any student who loses an ID will need to pay for a replacement one which will be provided to them. Students will be responsible for lost ID’s as they are lost textbooks and other items.
• REGISTRATION: It has been absolutely wonderful to have all of our students back whether they are attending brick and mortar or remotely. Each of you has made the choice which is right for your family. If a parent wishes to apply for a change of instructional method, they will need to contact the registrar who will bring the change application to administration. If approved, the student will be allowed to make the change on the Monday of the following week. This allows for rosters, rooms, Blackboard registrations and possible instructional and safety needs to be updated and in place.
• We are entering our second week of instruction, so please make sure you have Portal access and are checking grades as they are input. Our students have rigorous schedules designed to prepare them for college and career readiness, and we know they will succeed with your support.
• Senior News: All seniors, in-person and remote, must schedule their senior portrait session at www.cady.com/schedule prior to the October 2 portrait date. Without an appointment you will not have a portrait for the yearbook or a Senior ID card. Schedule now.
• If you are a senior this year, our Guidance Department and AICE Senior Night is September 17th. Supported by our Student Success Center, we will be hosting a virtual event this year, so please stay turned for updates.
• National Honor Society applications are now available on Ms. Williamson’s blackboard course called National Honor Society – Williamson 20-21. If you’re interested in running for NHS executive board, information is also available on the same BB course.
• Senior bundles are on sale now! Be sure to grab yours from the school store any time before September 23rd.
• Yearbook Ads are also available for purchase through the School Store until September 23rd. Order your ad when you purchase your senior bundle. Price ranges from $80 to $325 depending on size.
