  • Wednesday during all lunches the Student Success Center hosts an SCF Application workshop. See Mrs. Thiel in the SSC to sign up.


  • Academic Olympics first meeting is Tuesday October 20 at 2:30 in Mr. Foust’s room 7-215. You can also join via zoom if you are home.  Please email Mr. Foust for the link to his zoom meeting.


  • History Club will be having our first meeting of the year on Wednesday, the 21st of October, at 2:30pm. The meeting will be in Mr. Esparra’s room 5-104. We would love to see you there and plan to go over a variety of things about the club and more. If you are interested or have any questions, please see Mr. Esparra.


  • Poetry Club will be meeting TODAY in Room 8-114 after school. Please join us for a sweet treat and some creativity. All are welcome! Remote students are welcome, too. https://sarasotacountyschools.zoom.us/j/2162895437


  • Basketball Cheer Tryouts are Friday 10/23 from 4:30-7pm. Wear NPHS colors and athletic wear for tryouts. Paperwork must be turned in to Mrs. Skelton in Athletics TODAY. Email Coach Drachler with any questions [email protected]


  • Congratulations to the Boys Cross Country team! The short-handed boys team finished 2nd at the Sarasota county championships this weekend. The team was lead by Joe Smith, Evan Crane and Teage Elsey who all places in the top 15 individually. In addition to the 2nd place county finish, the boys also finished 3rd place in the Tri-County championship.


  • Attention Athletes, there will be a softball meeting on Thursday October 22, at 2:30pm at the softball field. All interested in playing should plan to attend.


  • Seniors, appointments are now available for Senior Portrait Sessions on November 3, here at North Port High School. Schedule at cady.com/book. This is the final date for sessions here at North Port High School. The sitting fee is $30. Choose only the “Yearbook” and “Brick” backgrounds if you want your session to be here at North Port High School.



  • Are you strong in one or more subject areas? Would you like to help your classmates reach their academic goals? Do you have a 3.0 GPA or higher? Then the after school tutoring program may be the opportunity you are looking for. You could help your classmates while earning community service hours. Grab your application form at the attendance office and turn it into Ms. Arzuza in 1-102F or Ms. Appolloni in 7-218. Applications are due by Friday, October 23rd


  • Don’t forget to vote for your class representative for this year’s homecoming court on Blackboard. Voting Ends 10/22 at midnight


  • Senior Sunrise applications are available now on the Voting Class of 2021 Blackboard Page. Applications are due by October 23.
