  • Boys’ Basketball Tryouts begin next week. Paperwork must be turned in on www.athleticclearance.com before tryouts.

 

  • Would you like to learn more about photography in a non-competitive space where you could make some new friends and have fun? Then, photography club is the right place for you! We are a place for photographers of all levels to share ideas, have fun, provide a place to exhibit work and participate in community and school events. We meet Wednesday in room 8-204 from 2:30-3:30. Come have fun with the photography club!

  • National Merit Scholarship Commendations: Congratulations to Jason Crehore and Matthew Doerner on being Commended for 2021 National Merit Scholarships.

 

  • See Mrs. Hamer during lunch in 7-115 for a Class Color T-Shirt or order on the Online School Store. Class Color Day is tomorrow. Freshmen Yellow, Sophomores Green, Juniors Orange, Seniors Red.

 

  • Grades 9-11 picture day is Thursday October 29. In-person students, see your first period teacher, and remote students, see your English teacher.

 

  • Are you strong in one or more subject areas? Would you like to help your classmates reach their academic goals? Do you have a 3.0 GPA or higher? Then the after school tutoring program may be the opportunity you are looking for. You could help your classmates while earning community service hours. Grab your application form at the attendance office and turn it into Ms. Arzuza in 1-102F or Ms. Appolloni in 7-218. Applications are due by Friday, October 30th.

 

  • Today is Tacky Tourist Day, I hope to see everyone in their Hawaiian Shirts! Don’t Forget, tomorrow is Class Color Day! Freshmen – Yellow, Sophomores – Green, Juniors – Orange, Seniors – Red, Staff – Pink

 

  • Seniors, vote for Yearbook Superlatives on the Voting Blackboard page. Voting ends November 1.

 

  • Seniors, appointments are now available for Senior Portrait Sessions on November 3, here at North Port High School. More appointments available soon for November 18. Schedule at www.cady.com/book.

 

  • On Saturday 10/31 our Cross Country Teams host the District Championship here at NPHS. Volunteers and fans are needed! Girls race at 7:45 and boys race at 8:45. See Coach Phu if you’d like to earn volunteer hours by helping out.
